Anita Stoll

Psychotherapy

Anita is a licensed clinical social worker providing psychotherapy and Yoga and Talk™ to individuals and groups. Her clinical work is primarily informed by her studies in attachment theory, family systems theory, neuroscience, and yoga. She has an empathic, professional approach that respects the individual’s innate capacity to heal and grow. As a result of her training and experience in yoga, Anita naturally incorporates an understanding of the mind-body connection into her work with clients.

Anita earned an MSSW (1993) from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA (1989) in English from Texas A&M University.

Yoga

Anita completed her first yoga teacher training program in 1999, and practiced and taught Ashtanga yoga for several years. In 2001, she became certified to teach hatha yoga in the Shambhava Yoga tradition, a school founded by His Holiness Rishi Maha Mandaleshwar Sri Shambhavanda (www.shoshoni.org). Since that time, she has continued to practice and study meditation, yoga philosophy and hatha yoga in the Shambhava tradition. Her teaching style is also influenced by Anusara yoga (www.anusara.com).

Since 2001, Anita has been offering “Yoga and Talk” programs for children, teens, parents, and therapists both privately and in the Austin community.
